Please note that this privacy policy does not govern the collection and use of information by companies that Lydia Chelsea does not control, (such as but not limited to any or all of the following: Amazon, including the affiliate program, and any other booksellers the author may sell through, author marketing companies like StoryOrigin or Bookfunnel, and web design and hosting companies such as Wix, Mailchimp or Google.)

If you visit a Web site that she mentions or links to, be sure to review their privacy policy before providing such sites with information. Lydia Chelsea is not in control of any linked site and is not responsible for your failure to respond to any other website’s privacy, cookie, or Do Not Track notices or controls.

You can follow Facebook, Twitter, or other social media links provided by the author to her personal pages. She has no control of the privacy measures offered by such sites, however, and you are using those sites at your own risk.

These you also follow at your own risk and those sites are responsible for their own content warnings, privacy notices, and the like.

If you follow a link provided by the author to a sales website (including but not limited to Amazon or other booksellers or Amazon Affiliate links), you will be redirected to a website that Lydia Chelsea does not own, run, or control in any way, and it is the responsibility of that other website to provide you with their privacy policy. You agree that you utilize any links offered on this website at your own risk and with your own cognizance.

For all personally identifiable information, she will:

take commercially reasonable precautions to protect the information from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction;

There are ways in which the author may use your information in the aggregate with other user information, such as for statistical analysis (such as but not limited to reporting to the author how many unique visitors to the site there are.)  However, the data will be used in such a way that your personal identity cannot reasonably be determined;

She will, as required by law, surrender any data you have provided directly or by your use of the website, in response to a subpoena or search warrant;

Or to outside auditors who have agreed to keep the information confidential;

Your privacy responsibilities:

To help protect your privacy, be sure:

to take customary precautions to guard against “malware” (viruses, Trojan horses, bots, etc.), for example by installing and updating suitable anti-virus software.
